We were so fortunate to find this accommodation after looking at several near the River. The room was spotless and had everything we needed – even cooking facilities. Annie was very welcoming and kindly helped me when I took ill which I greatly appreciated. They went “above and beyond” to make us feel welcome. Would highly recommend this place.

Thoughtfully appointed, unbelievably clean, a home away from home. After a disappointing stay in Hobart, this was simply heaven. Annie was very welcoming and do a great job with these bungalows. We stayed four nights, got up to date with our washing in their guest laundry, while taking in two Wilderness railway trips and the Gordon River Cruise.

The bungalow was perfect for my family of four with two grown boys (17 & 20). Hard to find a somewhere that is both spacious and well fitted out in a self contained way when travelling with a grown family and you want to be accommodated together.

Bungalow was clean as a whistle, roomy and a great kitchen set up. We came for only one night specifically to see the penguins on Bonnet Island. Could have comfortably stayed longer and will definitely rebook if we ever have the chance to come back. Lots more we could have seen and done.

Our hosts were lovely people. Saw us to our room personally and explained all we needed to know. Even shared a chat about my home town before we checked out in the next day.

I would definitely recommend these Bungalows if you are travelling to Strahan.
Thankyou for a brief but pleasant stay. The bungalows are a credit to you both!

Strahan Bungalows is a neat, clean and comfortable place to stay in Strahan. We would definitely come back and stay again. The people who manage the place are very friendly and accommodating and made our stay very pleasant indeed. The place is an easy 15 minute stroll to the centre of town and there is a convenience store, cafe and ATM machine nearby. Strahan is a lovely town with an unforgettable play “The Ship That Never Was” which is a must-see for everyone visiting. We also did the Franklin River Cruise which was highly enjoyable and a good way to get a feel of the region. We drove to Queenstown (40 min drive from Strahan) and did the West Coast Wilderness Railway which was very well worth the drive.

After driving around Strahan checking out accommodation on offer, we settled on Strahan Bungalows. What a great decision! The bungalow we had was spotlessly clean with a very well equipped kitchen which enabled us to cook a light meal. Sometimes it’s nice to self-cater when travelling for a few weeks. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone travelling to the Strahan area.

The bungalow was very well maintained, neat and tidy. The place was peaceful, the receptionist was lovely and the location to shops and activities were close….only downfall, in June there is not much that is open after 7 – only one restaurant in the main street – however well worth the stop for dinner – meal was amazing! The kitchen in the bungalow was a great size and the price was fantastic! Definately would stay there again and would reccommend to anyone. Loved! 🙂

One of our many delighted guests with 5 star reviews…

My wife and I stayed at Strahan Bungalows at the end of October for two nights. Mein hosts, Mark and Sally, were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us, They made us feel most welcome after the long drive from Port Arthur. The Bungalow was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely come again and we highly recommended this place to our friends back home in Perth WA, who have now already booked. Five minutes drive to the town and jetty meant it was also very peaceful.accommodation. Very clean, well decorated rooms, loved the tasteful nautical theme. Best Compendium for information I’ve ever seen for guests. We’ll be back to these Bungalows as a base for Strahan. Highly recommended this accommodation.
